December 2025 - Emma White - Christmas jumpers

The spirit of Christmas was brought to participants @hampsonparkcc Stevenage & @thehowardmemorialhall Letchworth. Participants created stunning festive glass Christmas jumpers, facilitated by glass artist Emma @irregularglass

They all looked sparkly and magical.

December 2025 - Savinder Bual – Pop up cards

Fantastic workshop sessions took place with visual artist @savinderbual @hampsonparkcc & @thehowardmemorialhall recently.

Savinder showed participants how to make a ‘pop up’ cards using vibrant colours and shapes. The results were amazing 🤩

October 2025 - Anji Archer - Pumpkin decoration

We were smashing pumpkins (creatively ☺️) this week @hampsonparkcc & @thehowardmemorialhall

Participants decorated pumpkins 🎃 & squashes using pressed foliage and coloured tissue paper. The results were amazing 🤩

September 2025 - Cass Thomas - Spray can art

Thank you to the wonderful artist Cass @sia.sia.art for facilitating a street art inspired workshop at @hampsonparkcc & @thehowardmemorialhall

Participants created vibrant designs onto used spray cans, they were so bold, beautiful and colourful. 😍

September 2025 - Emma White - Fused glass

An autumnal feeling was in the air this week…glass artist @irregularglass facilitated glass fused workshops with participants @hampsonparkcc & @thehowardmemorialhall

Fantastic glass pumpkins were created, bringing an explosion of autumn 🍂 colours and design. We can’t wait to see what they look like once they have been fired 🎃🥰

August 2025 - Anji Archer - Paper Russian dolls.

We had a hoot creating paper Matryoshka dolls this week @hampsonparkcc in Stevenage. Participants got to handle traditional wooden Matryoshka dolls for inspiration for their own designs. Looking at the use of colour & symbols in Folk Art.

August 2025 - Anji Archer - Cyanotypes

We had a sunny day this week @hampsonparkcc to make our cyanotypes on an assortment of coloured cyanotype papers. Using natural and found objects to create a negative collage. It was wonderful to see the results!

July 2025 - Jane Glynn - Natural sculptures

Thank you to Artist @janeglynnphillips for inspiring workshop sessions @hampsonparkcc Stevenage & @thehowardmemorialhall Letchworth. Participants explored balancing & building natural sculptures using branches and foliage. They drew their creations using Charcoal, pencils and pastels, the results were stunning 💚🌸

July 2025 - Emma White - Fused glass

Wonderful fused glass workshop this week @hampsonparkcc Stevenage & @thehowardmemorialhall in Letchworth. Participants worked with glass artist Emma @irregularglass to created Summer inspired pieces, using tiny glass bees, 🐝 butterflies and dragonflies. Can’t wait to see the results from the firing.

June 2025 - Alexa Loy - Drawing, collage

Fantastic workshop session this week with @alexa_loy Participants used a variety of mediums to explore mark making on paper before creating bird shapes collaged onto a small book. So great to see the results, so fun and vibrant

May 2025 - Daniel Roberts - Printmaking

Daniel facilitated a wonderful printmaking workshop.
Participants used plants to create beautiful stunning prints in sketchbooks.



May 2025 - Joshua Bilton - Mixed media kites

Participants created kites by painting colourful designs based on their interpretation of natural elements in an imaginary form. The kites looked stunning. Thank you Joshua for an inspiring workshop session.



May 2025 - Anji Archer - Collage illustrations

Participants worked with Anji to create collage stories inspired by the work of children’s author, illustrator and artist Leo Lionni. We looked at one of his books ‘Matthews Dream’ a story about a little mouse who becomes an artist.



Apr 2025 - Kate Johnston - Animal mask making

Participants worked with Kate to create fabulous fun & individual masks using brightly bold patterns.



Apr 2025 - Anji Archer - Matisse inspired collages

Participants worked with Anji to make bold and bright collages using torn and cut papers, inspired by Henri Matisse techniques.



Mar 2025 - Jamie Freestone - Abstract painting

Participants used bold colours, mark making and a mix of tools to create their artworks. The results were stunning! Thank you Jaime for bringing lots of colour into the room.



Feb 2025 - Emma White - Felt making

Seascape scenes created using wet felt was the theme recently for the workshops . Emma facilitated the sessions, showing the participants the fun & relaxing process.



Jan 2025 - Emma White - Glass painting 

Emma introduced the group to a variety of glass that had been donated by the oldest glass manufacturer 'Nazeing’. Sadly they closed their doors in 2023. Participants used glass paints to create abstract patterns and designs on the donated items.




Jan 2025 - Anji Archer - Collage, crayon and ink

Participants were inspired by the works of Charles Renee Macintosh and the Art Nouveau movement by creating black and white images using collage, crayon and ink.
